Lea Laetitia Thijs was born on the 28 November 1996 in Johannesburg. Both of her parents moved to South Africa for professional reasons. Since a young age, Lea has been into arts such as drawing, painting but especially photography. She now wants to become a professional freelance and documentary photographer. At the age of 14, she started 3 years of analog photography in her school, Lycée Francais Jules Verne. During high school she did numerous courses in Belgium, Paris and South Africa to find her voice in photography. She finished the Intermediate course at Market Photo workshop in 2014. She then traveled to Asia during 4 months. She was accepted at Middlesex University in London and graduated with a Photography (BA) in July 2018.
